Our mesh cake stencils are made from a very fine mesh material which allows for application of very detailed designs onto your cakes.
With a more flexible material they are quite easy to apply to your cake, allowing you to either wrap and pin in place or simply hold in place with your hand.
Mesh stencils are perfect for using with royal icing on fondant covered cakes as they leave a perfect stain on your fondant surface. They also work great on ganache.
They also work well with some types of buttercream like American buttercream and Ermine buttercream. If your buttercream is a hard crusting one your mesh stencil will work effectively on a well chilled cake, preferably left in the freezer or fridge until it is cold and set. If you are using Swiss meringue buttercream the process is a little different. It is advised that you brush some petal or lustre dust over the pattern to achieve the stained effect rather than spreading the SMBC over the pattern.
Simply spread some of your mixture over the design, scrape back the excess and peel back your stencils. It is best to make your mixture highly concentrated in colour to ensure a perfectly stained result. The deeper the colour the better the result. Your mixture will need to be quite smooth and almost like a paint consistency to ensure the colour is able to seep through the fine mesh holes.
Please note that we use a courier service, which means we are NOT able to stipulate a specific delivery time, deliveries are made between 8am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Once your order is dispatched from our warehouse and is with the third party courier company we have no control of external issues that may arise, we will do our best to find out as much information as possible regarding your delivery however we will not be held liable if the delivery is late. Once your order ships you should receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can track it online and get an up to date ETA from our courier.
Unfortunately our Couriers cannot deliver to PO BOXES, so please ensure you supply us with a physical delivery address.
Pick up/Click & Collect orders will be ready approx. 1-2 Business Days after your order is placed, you should receive email notification when your order is ready to collect but if you are unsure if your order is ready or not please contact the store for confirmation prior to coming in. If you place your order AFTER 12pm AEST on Friday afternoon your pick up order will NOT be ready until at least the following Monday, in this instance please contact local store for alternate options..
NOTIFY OUT OF STOCK: Sometimes orders come in too quick and this results in items becoming unavailable after you have purchased them. Checking this box during checkout ensures you are notified if for some reason a product you purchased becomes unavailable, we will notify you prior to your order leaving our warehouse to discuss possible replacement options (if we don't hear back from you within 24 hours after we attempt to contact you, we will ship your order and refund you for the item that was out of stock). We strongly suggest you only tick this box if there is something on your order that you can't do without. We suggest you leave this box un-checked during checkout if you would like your order to be shipped regardless of any unavailable products to avoid delays with your order leaving our warehouse.
RETURN Item(s) need to be returned within 15 days of delivery/purchase, sealed and unused in its original packaging and condition. We cannot accept food products as a return unless the goods are faulty. For postal returns, you are responsible for safely packaging and posting your return to ensure we receive it back in resalable condition.
DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS RECEIVED If you receive damaged or incorrect items in your order, please notify us within 7 days of receiving your order. For damages we will require photos to be emailed to email@example.com clearly showing the damage. Once we have received these we will issue you a Credit to your account, a refund or re send the items out to you depending on what suits you best.
SALES TAXES We are required to automatically charge and withhold the applicable GST for orders to be delivered to addresses within Australia. Each customer shall be solely responsible for all sales taxes, or other taxes, on orders shipped to any other state or country.
